11. 1 direct that my General Trustees shall have an inventory made both ofthe articles referred to in paragraph 6 hereof and also of those referred to in paragraph 7 hereof which said inventories shall be signed by the person or persons becoming entitled to the use and enjoyment or having the custody thereof respectively upon delivery of such articles to him her or them and after such signature my General Trustees shall be under no obligation to see to the custody care insurance or preser- 80 vation thereof or the future transmission thereof
or be concerned in any way therein nor be liable for any loss deterioration or destruction thereof nevertheless my General Trustees shall be at liberty at any time if they shall so think lit to interfere for the protection of the said articles or any of them in the hands of any person or persons not absolutely entitled thereto.
12. I direct that out of the trust funds and property to be held by my American Trustees they shall (if I have not during my lifetime made any 81 similar arrangement with the said Knickerbocker Trust (Company or otherwise) set apart sufficient investments at their discretion to produce a sum
of £1,000 a year and shall pay such yearly sum to my said sister Emilie Yznaga during her life without power of anticipation and shall also set apart sufficient investments at the like discretion to produce a further sum of £800 a year and shall pay such yearly sum to Mabel Countess Zichy during her life without power of anticipation and shall also set apart sufficient investments at the like discretion to produce an income of £150 a year and shall pay such yearly sum to the said Marie Rlaufuss the governess to mv late daughter during her

life free of duty without power of anticipation and shall also set apart sufficient investments at the like discretion to produce a further sum of £30 a year and shall pay such yearly sum to my late maid Elizabeth Wright during her life free of duty without power of anticipation and shall also set apart sufficient investments at their discretion to produce a further sum of £00 a year and shall pay such yearly sum to my chef Louis Le Maitre during his life freeof duty, provided always and I declare that if the said Louis Le Maitre shall at the time of my death be or shall afterwards become bankrupt or shall assign or charge or affect to assign or charge the said yearly sum of £60 or any part thereof or if any other event shall happen in my lifetime or after my death whereby if such yearly sum belonged to him absolutely he would be deprivedof the personal enjoyment of the same or any part thereof then such yearly sum shall cease to be payable to him and shall thenceforth during the remainder of his life be retained by my Ameri84 can Trustees upon trust that my American Trustees shall thereafter during such period or periods either continuous or discontinuous as they shall in their absolute discretion think fit pay all or any part of such yearly sum or apply the same for the maintenance and personal support or otherwise for the benefit of all or any one or more to the exclusion of the other or others of the said Louis Le Maitre or his wife or children or other relative whether minors or adults and so much of the said yearly sum as shall not be applied or disposed of by my American Trustees under the said discretionary trust or power hereinbefore contained shall sink into and be applied as part of the in

come of my American Residuary Estate, and I declare that all the several annuities hereinbefore bequeathed shall be paid half yearly the first payment thereof respectively to be made at the expiration of six calendar months from the date of my death And after such setting apart respectively I declare that the rest of my estate shall be free from liability for the said five annuities respectively but the capital of the said investments so set apart gg as aforesaid may if necessary be resorted to for payment of the said annuities respectively, and any income of the said investments not for the time being required for payment of the said annuities respectively shall be dealt with as income of my American residuary estate and subject to the said annuities respectively the said investments shall fall into and form part of my American residuary . estate.
13. I bequeath the sum of Five thousand pounds or investments of equivalent value to my American Trustees to be paid or raised out of the trust funds 87 coming to their hands as aforesaid upon the trusts following (that is to say) upon trust either to allow the same or the investments representing the same to remain in its then state of investment or to invest the same in manner hereinafter authorized for the investment of my American Residuary Estate and upon trust to divide the said legacy of Five thousand pounds or the investments representing the same into as many parts as the number of the children of my said sister Emilie Yznaga who either die in my lifetime leaving a child or children living at my death or shall be living at my death or shall be born after my death and one such share shall be allotted in respect of each such child of my
